TEHRAN – Iran national basketball team head coach Sotirios Alex Manolopoulos returned to Tehran Saturday evening.

It was rumored that he was not going to return to Iran.

The Greek coach was named Team Melli coach in August.

Iran prepare for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualification, where they will play Kazakhstan on Nov. 22.

According to Iran’s basketball federation, women’s team basketball coach Eleni Kapogianni will travel to Tehran next month.
